ABOUT US
Harpenden Indoor Bowling Club was established in 1973 and currently enjoys 281 members. Our mission is to promote the game, serve our community and provide a club and facility that encourages recreation, friendship and fun. We provide opportunity for new bowlers, people of all abilities and skill levels, and experienced indoor and outdoor bowlers looking to compete at District, County and National level. If you would like to experience the club before committing yourself then consider registering for one of our open events.
We offer a year round timetable of bowling split into two seasons: Winter season commencing in early September and our Summer season commencing in mid April.
During the Summer and Winter Season there are leagues, competitions and open sessions for members of all abilities. Leagues tend to be played in triples and fours format. Weekly roll ups are available for men, women and mixed sessions.
Weekday evenings are split between Fantastic Fives on a Monday, Tuesday evening is dedicated to coaching for players of all abilities, Wednesday evening is dedicated to mixed triples, Thursday to beginners and Friday blends social bowls events with free rinks.
All of the leagues are good fun no matter what your bowling experience. Teams are always on the lookout for more players so if you're interested then don't be shy, let us know and we will secure you a team.
The Club is affiliated to the Hertfordshire Indoor Bowling Association (Men's County), Hertfordshire Ladies Indoor Bowling Association and the English Indoor Bowling Association.
