It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beryl Birch who died peacefully on Thursday 13 August.

Her son and daughter in law were with her, so she was not alone on death as she had feared. She had been unwell since the Spring of this year but her mind stayed as alert as it ever had been right to the end.

Beryl had been a member of our club for close on 50 years and also a keen outdoor player at Batchwood Hall Bowls Club.

She was one of our most respected members and had a significant influence on the Monday afternoon ladies. She regularly played in County and District competitions as well as internal ones.

Details of her funeral will be released in due course.
