It is with great sadness that that we announce the passing of Peter Russell on Friday 14 November.

Peter had been a member of the club for several years and was a regular player in the men’s Monday morning roll-ups, the morning league and in Club competitions where he was a member of the winning Triples team with John Turkentine and Chris Dell in winter 2022/23. He was an active member in the summer league 2025.

Peter was a stalwart of the club, unhesitatingly supporting others, helping to resolve problems and supporting the running and operation of the club's bar.

He will be sadly missed by all members, not only for his fellowship around the club, but also when reminiscing about his days as the respected local butcher in Southdown. Funeral details will follow in due course.
